We try so hard to find a quiet evening together. This is so perfect. 

A delicious little nibbly. A few sips of wine. As the water boils, a slow dance.

Twenty five minutes… we sit down eat an amazing meal and finish the bottle.

(1) pkg  1.4 oz Paradiso del Golosi Dried “ Boscaila” Sauce Mix . From Calabria, this dried Boscaiola sauce roughly translates “in the style of the woodsmen”. Eggplant, onions, mushrooms, tomato flakes, peppers, garlic & spices turn into a hearty, tasty sauce when sautéed with EVOO and Tomatoes.

(1) jar Masseria Hand Peeled Tomatoes. From Basilicata. These hand peeled Pomodori tomatoes are a typical Lucan speciality. These tomatoes are versatile in their use from a simple pasta sauce to a hearty ragu. 

(1) pkg Mastrototaro Cesare Classic Grissini. From Piedmont, this regional speciality is hand stretched and shaped to resemble rustic twigs. Delicious, crunchy and highly digestible, they can be enjoyed as a snack or appetizer, dipped or simply with a glass of wine.

(1) jar 6.3 oz Ranise Ligurian Bruschetta Sauce. From Liguria a delicious blend of bell peppers, tomatoes, sun dried tomatoes, olives and EVOO. 

(1) box Gianduja Chocolate Hazelnut chocolates  From Turin, Piedmont, this beloved Italian confection is made of chocolate and hazelnut paste. I dare you to just one.

(1) Bottle Antonio Sanguineti Chianti. From our favorite “Maesrtro” Antonio Sanguineti, comes this wonderful delicious Chianti, made in a friendly, approachable style that is concentrated, yet great with food.
